About This Game:

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a gothic exploration-based platformer made in collaboration by Koji Igarashi, the ex-Castlevania producer, and Mighty No. 9 studio Inti-Creates. The game features a female lead known as Miriam, a young woman cursed by a dark alchemist. She’ll be running around a castle of B-movie monsters and other creatures of the night with a vampire-killing whip among a wide array of other weapons such as swords. Basically, it’s as Castlevania as it gets without actually being Castlevania, which is cool because Konami isn’t doing anything with the series.

In addition to the classic elements everyone’s come to expect, enemies in Bloodstained will drop a wide variety of items, materials, and magi-crystals necessary to create the items that will get you safely through Gebel’s castle. As you explore, fight enemies, and complete quests you will gain experience and become more powerful, acquiring a variety of weapons along the way. Enemies will also drop materials you can use to craft new weapons and abilities using Miriam’s training in alchemy.
